My name is Melinda Thompson-King, and I am a wife, mother, daughter, sister, auntie, and so much more. However, being a Black woman impacts how I move in all my other roles. As Black women, we bear the weight of the world on our shoulders. Everything from our families to the political labyrinth we currently find ourselves in (and everything in between) depends on us to support, nurture, and lead it into the next phase of life.
